The Hunt for a Job

First is what I was looking for and that was a job in computer animation, I started with 3D artist and got a few but not enough so I narrowed it to 3D Modeler. The reason I was looking for this job is because I like to take my 2D drawings and turn them into 3D models and in time make them come to life, in a way. I've always like watching 3D animations done by big time studios like Pixar, but also enjoyed watching people’s personal created shorts. All that made me want to become a 3D artist even more.

As for job hunting I went with 3D modeler and used Monster.com, I tried game jobs and a couple others but didn't come up with the required amount. Only Monster gave me enough. However as stated above I had tried with 3D artist but came up with only two jobs so I had to change it to something more specific. Some of the jobs however ask you to do more than just model, like have some Photoshop skills and such. The site itself was pretty easy to navigate, there was the ability if you create an account to save job listings and such. All in all I will most likely be putting my resume up on monster when I go looking for a job.

  1. Hi Brian,
I enjoyed learning Maya for 3D Modeling and Animation. I'm interested in working with others and have Photoshop experience. I tutor in the labs on Tuesday and Thursday. I'd be glad to work with you or teach you what you need to know. Please follow my blog, Charlotte.
I'm interested in hearing your commentary
