I check out other personal and/or company portfolios of other fields to see if I could get any other ideas for my own. I looked at a lot of design sites, and one thing that was a familiar thing was there was a continuous theme. Here are some that stuck out:

I also like the last one a lot for that desktop site, I like to incorporate a 3D program layout screen for a web page idea. Some of the content that was seen throughout all of these sites and portfolios was; there work, contact information, previous employers, and a short part on who they are and why they do what they do. I really like some of the flash designer sites, very fun interactive stuff which I really like to put into my own site. Whats better then something fun to play with as you look at someones work.
